Identification of predatory mites
Executive Summary
Predatory mites in the family Phytoseiidae were identified from a wide variety of plants and localities for a 14 year period. This enabled us to identify changes in the species complex. The most notable were the appearance of Neoseiulus californicus during the 1994/95 season, the disappearance of Phytoseiulus persimilis from the Elgin are during the 1995/96 season and the appearance of an undescribed species of Typhlodromus during the 2003/04 season.
